Our Team

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Case and I am so honored to be in my third year as the principal at EAGLE Prep: Gravois Park. I work diligently to lead the school’s efforts of sustaining an achievement-oriented and joyful culture. Prior to becoming the principal at Gravois Park, I served as the Dean of Students at EAGLE College Prep: Fox Park and Dean of Scholars at Purpose Preparatory Academy – a high performing charter school in Tennessee. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. When I’m not keeping busy with school, I love to spend time with my two dogs, my husband, and my new baby – Crew.

Hello GP Families! My name is Tesha Weathersby and I am so excited to be going into my third year as the Dean of Students at EAGLE College Prep: Gravois Park. As the Dean of Students,  I have worked diligently to building relationships with all students, their families, staff, and our Gravois Park community. Prior to becoming the Dean of Students at Gravois Park, I have had the opportunity to serve as an educator in both the private and public sectors for over 13+ years and two of those years I served as the 4th and 5th grade teacher at Gravois Park.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Louis University in Education, a Master's Degree from Fontbonne University in Curriculum and Instruction, and another Master’s Degree from Webster University in Reading. When I’m not keeping busy with school, I am on the soccer field with my three beautiful children…Elijah, Ava, and Gia. 

As the new Dean of Instruction at EAGLE Gravois Park, I view my role as one of support for both teachers and students. In addition to advocating for those best practices that will lead to growth and proficiency on measures of student performance, my goal is to develop systemic and sustainable approaches to how we deliver instruction and promote a school wide culture of achievement.

I am a graduate of the University of Missouri St. Louis, where I completed a Master's Degree in Education Administration. Also, I completed my doctoral studies at Maryville University in Education Leadership. Before joining the EAGLE Gravois Park team, I served as a K-8 principal of charter schools in both Brooklyn, New York and Cincinnati, Ohio. Prior to that, I served as a Middle School Dean of Students. 

I am thrilled and delighted to serve the Gravois park community and I am eager to make the connections necessary for developing high performing teachers and the next generation of student leaders. 

After working in education for over 9 years, I bring a wealth of leadership and management experience to EAGLE. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and my Master’s degree in Management from Fontbonne University, graduating with honors. Hired as the School Operations Manager, I am responsible for site level procurement, monitoring, and management, and I oversee all operational and logistical projects. I am passionate about advocating for quality education in urban environments

Hello EAGLE Families! My name is Sarah Friesz and I am the Office Manager at EAGLE Gravois Park. I have been working with children of all ages in some capacity for eight years and am thrilled to be a part of the EAGLE Family. I moved to Tennessee a few years ago to help start a new preschool, but returned to St. Louis this year as it is my favorite place to call home. I love that I get to serve the wonderful families in this unique and beautiful community and I look forward to getting to know your family!
